On April 6, the Centre of Double Helix (CDH) and the Institute of Data and Information (IDI) jointly held the first session of the “X-Seminar series”. Professor Yin Xiaobo, from Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong, was invited to give a keynote speech on Meta-materials for Sustainability This event had approximately 100 participants, both online and offline.
During the seminar, Professor Yin Xiaobo delivered a keynote presentation, combining his research findings to discuss the application of photonic materials in addressing energy consumption challenges in space cooling and improving photosynthesis and food production in greenhouses.
Participants actively engaged in in-depth discussions with Professor Yin, sharing their own research content and exploring interdisciplinary perspectives on technology applications. The attendees expressed their appreciation for the valuable insights gained from the seminar.
