The Center of Double Helix (CDH) is a part of Institute of Materials Research(iMR) of Tsinghua SIGS and, is pivotal to Tsinghua's strategic vision for the Bay Area. It leverages Tsinghua SIGS’s ‘6+1’ interdisciplinary strengths to lead the way in scientific and technological advancement. The Center promotes research from fundamental science to cutting-edge applications, focusing on key areas such as superlubricity microsystems (SMS), which areexpected to drive the development of robotics, drones, and 6G technology.
Under the leadership of Academician Quanshui Zheng, CDH is an exciting and progressive hub for scientific exploration and education, fostering a collaborative ecosystem between academia and industry. Our facilities, which include advanced labs and collaborative spaces, support this vibrant innovation community and are housed within Tsinghua SIGS. It encompasses over 700 square meters, including labs, conference rooms, and office areas. We also have top-tier students from China, as well as Asia. In CDH, each PI will have the opportunity to attract ~10 students (including PHD and master students) from China and across the world each year.

Welfare Benefits
·Enjoy salary benefits in accordance with the regulations of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School and Shenzhen Municipality.
· Postdoctoral researchers are entitled to a basic salary of 120.000 RMB during their tenure, and participate in social insurance and housing provident fund as stipulated; those who have passed the opening and mid-term assessments are eligible for a Shenzhen postdoctoral living subsidy of 180,000 RMB/year (funding duration not exceeding 2 years); postdoctoral researchers without housing in Shenzhen are entitled to a rental subsidy of 2,800 yuan/month.
·SIGS provides each postdoctoral researcher with a total of 20,000 RMB for scientific and academic activities during their two-year tenure.
·Postdoctoral researchers who have been awarded the Shuimu Scholar title will receive an additional 300,000 RMB/year in institutional subsidies during their tenure (subject to the resolution of the compensation committee).
· During their tenure, postdoctoral researchers can apply for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and other national, provincial, and municipal research projects in accordance with relevant regulations.
· Postdoctoral researchers who choose to stay in Shenzhen for scientific research after leaving the station and sign a labor (employment) contract with enterprises and institutions in the city for more than 3 years can apply for the Shenzhen Postdoctoral Research Grant (100,000 RMB/year, funded for 3 years) after leaving the station.
·Postdoctoral researchers who are recognized as high-level talents in Shenzhen can apply for talent reward subsidies according to regulations.
