Prof. Alessandro Siria is a Distinguished Professor at Shenzhen University, specializing in condensed matter physics, nanofluidics, and nanomechanics, with research exploring nanoscale transport phenomena, quantum fluidics in low-dimensional systems, and mechanical properties of 2D materials. His work has led to applied breakthroughs in energy harvesting, desalination technologies, and advanced nano-manufacturing. Before joining Shenzhen University, he served as a Research Director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Professor at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), Paris. He earned his PhD in 2006 from Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble) and holds MSc/BSc degrees from Università di Genova (Italy).
A recipient of two European Research Council (ERC) Awards and two CNRS Awards, his work bridges fundamental research and technological applications.
