Biography

Ding Wenbo received his bachelor's and doctorate degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University in 2011 and 2016 respectively. From 2016 to 2019, he engaged in postdoctoral research in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States. He is currently an associate professor and Ph.D supervisor at the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School.

He has focused on the innovation of new mechanical grippers incorporating flexible sensors and the creation of user interfaces for human-computer interaction. With over 70 SCI-indexed publications in signal processing, robotic tactility, and triboelectric sensing, their research has significantly contributed to these fields. They have also filed for or been granted nearly 20 patents in both China and the United States. His editorial roles include serving as an associate editor for the esteemed journal “Digital Signal Processing” and as the chief guest editor for a special issue on robotics in the prestigious IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing (IEEE JSTSP). Additionally, they have held leadership positions in prominent conferences, such as the workshop co-chair at the IEEE SmartGridComm 2019 and the co-chair of the CPD Workshop at the ACM Ubicomp 2021. Furthermore, he have been an active member of the program committees for multiple international conferences.
